We are delighted to welcome several new adult and junior members to the club. If you are still interested in joining Troon Chess Club to play in one of our teams or just to play for fun please get in touch or drop into the club on a Thursday. A big thank you to the many members who have already paid their subscription. I would be grateful if those who have still to do so could pay (preferably by bank transfer) as soon as possible. If you require the bank details please e mail boblreid@hotmail.co.uk One Gold game and some Coronelli first round games were played last night. Results can be seen on relevant competition page. Please let us know if your result isn’t yet displayed. All ties to be played by Thursday 9 October

Thursday 2 October. Ayrshire championship round 1 in Troon. Members who have not entered are welcome to come along and play club games or spectate.

Thursday 9 October Club night – deadline for Coronelli 1st round
Thursday 16 October Club night
Monday 20 October JBW Trophy for players graded under 1400 will start in Kilmarnock
Thursday 23 October Ayrshire championship round 2
Players wishing to play in the Ayrshire championship and/or the JBW trophy should contact john.montgomery@btinternet.com. Ayrshire League games will also commence in October. League fixtures will be published on our website when they are confirmed by Ayrshire Chess Association.
